your first visit

The purpose of this part of our website is to tell you what will happen on your first visit to our office. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible. We understand that you may be in pain and we want to find out what is causing your pain. Our mission is to restore you to good health. We have a heart to heart relationship with our patients and are here for you.


  1. You will be welcomed. Please give us a picture I.D. and insurance card if we will be filing insurance for you.
  2. Paperwork (available on this website) needs to be completed in full. This information will help us identify your main problem and your health history. Please fill in all the blanks. If the question does not apply to you put "NA" in the space.
  3. We will talk with you about what is wrong and any health history that is relevant. If you have a complex history and are currently being seen by many doctors, please bring in their names and any medications that they may have you on.
  4. We will take your vitals(height, weight, pulse).
  5. You may be given an examination gown to use so that we can better see your back and feel the muscle and bone imbalances.
  6. We will measure your ranges of motion in the affected areas of your back or extremities.
  7. The doctor will perform a thorough orthopedic, neurological and chiropractic examination to evaluate your condition.
  8. The doctor may assess the muscle strength of the area involved.
  9. X-rays may be taken in our office or ordered to an outside facility, if your insurance company requires that for payment to be made.
  10. You will be shown a short video about the Activator Method Chiropractic Technique. The will help you understand the gentle way in which we adjust the vertebrae.
  11. You may be given a gentle adjustment or some therapy during your first visit or the doctor may need to schedule the adjustment for your second visit after the doctor has made a complete review of your case.
  12. Usually on the second visit the doctor will explain to you the report of your exam findings and discuss a program of care so that you will know:
    1. What is wrong with you
    2. What we can do to help you
    3. How long it will take to help you
